General Secretariat for Gender Equality in Greece Chooses Vubis Smart

Brussels, Belgium, May 5, 2008. Infor announced today the General Secretariat for Gender Equality in Greece has chosen Vubis Smart, Infor's integrated library system. Vubis Smart will be implemented at the Secretariat's Library for Women's Issues along with Infor's federated search application, V-spaces, and OpenURL Resolver, V-link. The implementation will be managed by Infor's Greek distributor, ELIDOC (http://www.elidoc.gr/gindex.htm) with support from Infor's French and Belgian offices.

The General Secretariat for Gender Equality is a government institution that promotes women's equality in the labor market, fights to prevent violence against women and seeks to reinforce women's participation in decision-making centers. Established in 1984, the Secretariat's Library for Women's Issues is the only library in Greece that gathers and distributes information about the status of women in Greece and across the globe. The Library's collections include books, leaflets, declarations, dictionaries and encyclopedias, posters, photo collections, laws, periodicals and more - written by or for women in Greek and other languages.
