Leeds Trinity & All Saints College Selects Vubis Smart

Bristol, UK, June 16, 2008. Infor announced today that Leeds Trinity & All Saints College, located in Leeds, United Kingdom, has selected Vubis Smart, Infor’s integrated Library System. Leeds Trinity & All Saints College will implement Vubis Smart along with Infor’s federated search and information portal (V-spaces), e-resources management application (V-sources), statistical analysis tool (V-insight) and Reading List functionality.  Leeds Trinity & All Saints College will also be implementing AquaBrowser, the “discovery platform” by Medialab Solutions.

Vubis Smart and V-spaces will provide students at Leeds Trinity & All Saints dynamic access to course materials, academic publications and web-based resources.  The Library, on its part, will benefit from convenient workflows and administrative functions in Vubis Smart, V-sources and V-insight to manage their collections and electronic resources and gain in-depth insight into overall trends and usage of the Library.

Leeds Trinity & All Saints is an independent higher education institution, offering undergraduate and postgraduate degrees subjects in Arts and Social Sciences; Media, Business and Marketing and Education. Through the Library, students have access to print and electronic books and journals, multimedia materials and a growing collection of databases, to support their studies.

Leeds Trinity Librarian, Liz Murphy, said: “We are very excited by the opportunity offered by Vubis Smart and AquaBrowser to create a powerful new information discovery portal, enabling an initial search in a simple search interface to expose a far wider range of our resources to our students and staff than is possible at present.”

She continued: “We shall also be able to enhance our existing My Subject portals, using the federated search power of V-Spaces to make them much easier and more intuitive to use.”
