Infor Announces 350th Sale of Vubis Smart
Brussels, Belgium, and Bristol, United Kingdom. 3 September 2008. Infor Library and Information Solutions today announced the 350th sale of Vubis Smart, Infor's integrated library system. With the 350th sale of Vubis Smart, Infor attains an important milestone that underscores the system's success in the global marketplace since its launch in 2002.
“We are very pleased to announce the latest sale of Vubis Smart to the London Borough of Bromley libraries in the UK,” said Ann Melaerts, Managing Director Infor Library and Information Solutions. “The sale, which is our 350th Vubis Smart sale to date, represents the strength of our solutions enabling libraries worldwide to meet or exceed operational objectives through improved client services, robust performance statistical analysis and workflow economies. Over the years, we have taken pride in our customer-centric applications that truly reflect the evolving needs of users in today's digital and collaborative information environment. The 350th sale of Vubis Smart attests to the solid endorsement of our approach amongst libraries and their users, and we look forward to building on our success as we further expand our business in the years ahead.”
The London Borough of Bromley libraries include 15 branches and a mobile library. The libraries will be upgrading from their current from PLUS system to Vubis Smart, which will accommodate support for Community Information and databases for museums and archives data.
Vubis Smart was introduced in 2002 and has enjoyed a wide appeal amongst public, academic and special libraries in Europe, the United Kingdom, North America and Australia. Geared towards accommodating the requirements of an ever-changing information landscape, Vubis Smart is uniquely format independent and user-centric. Through dynamic back-end modules and a rich front-end Web OPAC, Vubis Smart offers staff and users powerful tools that position the Library as the “go-to address” for high-quality information services.
