Arachne Virtuele Catalogus Live met V-spaces federatief zoeken

Brussel, Belgie, 16 december 2007. De Arachne Virtuele Catalogus, een gecombineerd project van openbare bibliotheken in Vlaanderen, Belgie, is succesvol live gegaan met het gebruik van Infor’s V-spaces informatie portaal en federatieve zoekoplossing.

Arachne is de implementatie van V-spaces op maat van de openbare bibliotheken in Vlaanderen. Met Arachne kunnen de bibliotheken een gepersonaliseerde zoekmachine aanbieden aan hun klanten. Simultaan zoeken doorheen de catalogus van verschillende openbare bibliotheken, centrale catalogi (zoals Isis en Vlacc), websites, zoekmachines, gespecialiseerde sites over literatuur, film en muziek, naslagwerken en nieuws wordt nu mogelijk.
